01 · OVERVIEW

About NitroPool

NitroPool is an independently operated, account-free multi-coin mining pool serving CPU, GPU, mobile and ASIC miners across multiple Proof-of-Work networks.

The platform provides regional Stratum servers in Australia, Europe and the United States. NitroPool began with the open-source YiiMP codebase, which has since been extensively modified and actively developed for its mining infrastructure.

Its backend is powered by NitroPool Stratum V4, a custom fourth-generation implementation built on the Stratum V1 protocol. The system includes adaptive variable difficulty, miner and firmware detection, miner-aware starting difficulty, ASICBoost and version rolling, rental-hash compatibility, and specialised support for newer algorithms and non-standard blockchains.

NitroPool does not require user accounts or registration. Miners connect using their wallet address and can choose between PROP and SOLO mining modes. Rewards are paid directly in the coin mined, with confirmed balances processed automatically once the applicable payout threshold is reached.

Mining activity including hashrate, shares, workers, earnings and payments can be monitored using the mining wallet address.

NitroPool provides public mining infrastructure for both established and emerging Proof-of-Work projects, with an emphasis on active development, miner compatibility, regional access and direct community support.

Security notes

NitroPool publishes real-time pool statistics and supports automatic difficulty adjustment, ASICBoost and version rolling. The platform also operates geographically distributed Stratum infrastructure and maintains public repositories for several NitroPool-associated mining tools.

Material risks and limitations

Mining rewards depend on block discovery, network difficulty, hashrate and other network conditions and are not guaranteed. Users are also exposed to pool availability, payout and accounting risks, as well as risks associated with the individual cryptocurrency networks they choose to mine.
