01 · OVERVIEW

About HackMe Network

HackMe Network (HMC) is an open-source Layer 1 network combining cryptocurrency mining with useful cybersecurity workloads.

The network operates a native HMC blockchain alongside a public HTTP mining coordinator. Rather than relying only on conventional hash computation, HackMe integrates useful-work tasks such as WASM-based fuzzing and ASAN/UBSan security testing into its mining and worker infrastructure.

HackMe uses a Proof-of-History-based chain together with useful Proof-of-Work task validation. Its mining infrastructure supports CPU, CUDA and OpenCL workers, while the official pool uses an HTTP coordinator rather than the traditional Stratum protocol.

HMC is the network’s primary asset. It is used for chain settlement, mining rewards and payments for security-testing workloads. The published economics specify a maximum supply of 100 million HMC, scheduled block-reward reductions and fee-burning mechanisms.

The wider HackMe ecosystem includes Dig and Hunt cybersecurity campaigns, where customers can submit software-testing workloads that are distributed across participating workers. Results can include fuzzing coverage, crash evidence and CI-compatible reports.

HackMe remains experimental release-candidate software. Its public pool, node software, explorer and security-work infrastructure are live, while other components such as HMS storage and broader exchange functionality remain under development or limited to preview and paper-trading environments.
