PROJECT OVERVIEW
ConnectCoin is an experimental peer-to-peer cryptocurrency built from the Bitcoin Core codebase and UTXO model. It introduces a mechanism called Pay-to-Connect (P2C), which allows transaction outputs to be associated with cryptographically verifiable TLS 1.3 interactions.
Under the proposed system, a participant can fund a Pay-to-Connect bounty for a domain. Another participant can prepare a claim transaction and obtain server-authenticated TLS evidence tied to that transaction. Network nodes can then verify the submitted proof without independently contacting the specified domain. The project distinguishes this Proof-of-Connect mechanism from block production: P2C claims transfer rewards supplied by participants, while RandomX Proof of Work separately secures block ordering.
ConnectCoin currently operates as a testnet beta. Its software defaults to ConnectCoin testnet4, while explicit mainnet startup is disabled. The project states that mainnet has not launched and that testnet coins will not become mainnet coins.
The current public-testnet parameters include a target block interval of approximately 10 seconds, an initial recurring block subsidy of 15 CC, RandomX V2 mining, and a nominal planned monetary supply of 100 million CC. The whitepaper describes a proposed mainnet allocation of 90% to ordinary mining, 5% to a Development Fund and 5% to a Developer's Fund. Because mainnet has not launched, these should be described as planned/proposed economics, not current circulating tokenomics.
