Overview

About Sosaiem

Sosaiem (SOSA) is an open-source, community-run Layer 1 cryptocurrency launched in 2026 with no company, premine or central network operator. The project combines Proof-of-Work mining, post-quantum wallet signatures and feeless transfers within a blockchain designed to run entirely on participant-operated nodes.

The network uses memory-hard Scrypt Proof of Work and targets approximately 60-second blocks. Each mining attempt uses around 8 MB of memory, an approach intended to reduce the efficiency advantage of highly specialized mining hardware and keep participation practical on ordinary computers.

Sosaiem also uses a fair-work reward model. Instead of automatically giving the entire block reward to the miner that discovers a block, miners submit verifiable work-shares and rewards are distributed according to contributed work. The system is designed to provide pool-like reward smoothing without requiring a centralized mining-pool operator.

Wallet ownership and transaction authorization use ML-DSA-65, the post-quantum digital signature scheme standardized by NIST under FIPS 204. This replaces the elliptic-curve signature systems commonly used by older cryptocurrency networks and is intended to provide resistance against future large-scale quantum attacks.

Transfers do not use conventional transaction fees. Instead, the sender's device performs a small amount of Proof of Work before broadcasting a transaction. Valid transfers are then included and settled through the blockchain, while miners are compensated through block issuance rather than user-paid fees.

SOSA has a fixed maximum supply of 12,212,010 coins. The network targets approximately 100 SOSA of issuance per hour, with a block reward of about 1.66666667 SOSA and no premine or insider allocation.

Sosaiem remains an early-stage network. Its own technical documentation notes that the protocol has not yet undergone a formal external security review and identifies areas such as long-term post-emission security, network scaling and majority-hashpower attacks as considerations while the project matures.
