Overview

About Monzero

Monzero (XMZ) is an independent, open-source cryptocurrency built around private digital payments, permissionless participation, and CPU-accessible mining.

Derived from the Monero codebase, Monzero operates on a separate blockchain with its own genesis block, network identity, monetary policy, and native currency. Its privacy architecture incorporates ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transaction amounts.

The network uses RandomX Proof of Work, an algorithm designed to support mining with general-purpose CPUs. With a target block interval of approximately two minutes, Monzero aims to make participation accessible to individuals operating ordinary computers.

XMZ follows a smooth primary-emission schedule targeting 100 million coins, followed by a permanent tail subsidy of 3.26 XMZ per block. The network has no hard-coded premine, although the founder mined coins during the early bootstrap period and has published a disclosure of those holdings.

The ecosystem includes Windows and Linux software, an official mining pool, public nodes, a blockchain explorer, and ongoing wallet development.

Looking ahead, the project's roadmap explores peer-to-peer cross-chain swaps, an integrated exchange experience, and native digital assets. These features remain experimental or inactive and should not be confused with currently available production services.

Monzero remains an experimental, independently unaudited network. Prospective users should review its documentation, security limitations, and founder disclosures before participating.
